The International Siberian Husky Club's Awards Program was established 1967 and is open to members only. An award or Certificate will be presented to members in good standing whose Siberian has achieved:
Rigs qualify for sprint classes. Medals presented for 1 st thru 3rd. Certificates for all other places. Time factors and mileage requirements to be met. Only Siberians registered with the AKC or its National Equivalent are eligible. They must be registered in the name of the ISHC member or his immediate family. Awards are presented once a year. There is no time limit to completing requirements for the Award, but the application must be submitted within 12 months of completion of the requirements. If more than one dog owned by the same member wins an Award in any class within the same Division, only 1 plaque will be presented with all the names listed. If the same dog wins more than 1 award in the same Division, one plaque with all the awards listed will be presented. No Siberian may win the same award won previously. An application must be filled out and sent to the Awards Chairman. Each application may be inspected by the officers of the club. Award winners get photo and write-up in Awards issue. Certificate winners get a writeup; photo with short caption costs $8.00. All Siberian Team Race Awards - top 3 winners in each class get photo and 50 word write-up. 4th place and below have names and points listed free; photo and write-up costs $8.00. Club reserves the right to verify all wins. You may apply at any time. Deadline for applications is February 15 (i.e. deadline for 2002 awards is February 15, 2001.) Awards year runs from December 1 through April 31 for racing; Jan 1 to Dec. 31 for showing.
